How to do Cat Eye Gel Polish Nails
With Gel Polish
- Step 1: PREP Start with sanitized hands, trimmed cuticles, and gently buffed nails.
- Step 2: SHAPE File your natural nail into the desired shape.
- Step 3: CLEANSE Use alcohol and a lint-free wipe.
- Step 4: BASE Apply a thin coat of Revel Nail Gel Base. Cure for 1 minute in UV/LED Lamp.
- Step 5: POLISH Using a creme gel polish color of your choice (we recommend the matching creme to your magnetic gel polish), apply a thin coat. Cure for 1 minute. (Pro Tip: Some colors may need a third coat for full coverage).
- Step 6: MAGNETIZE Apply a coat of magnetic gel polish to the whole nail. Do NOT cure.
- Step 7: DRAMATIZE Using the magnet, slowly approach your nail from both sides plus the tip and your cuticle. See the magnetic glitters gravitate toward the center.
- Step 8: FLASH CURE Happy with your design? Then flash cure for 15 seconds and move onto the next nail. Repeat for all nails.
- Step 9: CURE Once all nails have the look you want, cure them for 1 minute (Pro Tip: For a bolder velvet effect, add more coats of magnetic gel polish and repeat steps 7-9.)
- Step 10: TOP COAT Apply a thin layer of Revel Nail Tack Free Gel. Cure for 1 minute.
- Step 11: MOISTURIZE Apply Revel Nail Cuticle oil to the skin surrounding the nail for a complete, nourished, and calcium enriched gel polish manicure!
Magnetic Gel over Dip Powder
- Step 1: PREP NAILS Sanitize hands and push back cuticles. Using a fine drill bit, file or buffer, remove shine from nails.
- Step 2: PRO BASE Apply a thin layer of Liquid #1 Pro Base using even strokes from base to tip.
- Step 3: DIP NAIL Dip finger in powder using a scooping motion and tap or brush off excess dip powder. Repeat until each nail should have two coats of powder.
- Step 4: ACTIVATE Apply a generous amount of #2 Activator on all ten fingers covering the edges and capping the tips of the nails. Let dry for two min.
- Step 5: BUFF & SHAPE Shape nails with a file or drill to remove excess powder from cuticle area. Smooth out nails with buffer, then rinse hands with water (no soap).
- Step 6: MAGNETIZE Apply a coat of magnetic gel polish to the whole nail. Do NOT cure.
- Step 7: DRAMATIZE Using the magnet, slowly approach your nail from both sides plus the tip and your cuticle. See the magnetic glitters gravitate toward the center.
