Removing Revel Nail Dip Powder

Written By: Sami S.

When it’s time to part ways with your Revel Nail mani, we recommend the soaking bowl method over the baggie method, while the baggie method is good in a pinch, acetone is extremely flammable and the soaking bowl helps ensure that the acetone remains a safe temperature!

The Baggie Method:

The products we used are 100% acetone, paper towels or cotton balls, a bowl of warm water, a sandwich bag, coconut oil (optional), and the 150 Grit Nail File.

  Step 1:

With the Revel Nail 150 Grit File, buff off the shiny topcoat from your manicure.

  Step 2:

Pour your 100% acetone into a sandwich bag with a scoop of coconut oil. Place your hand in the bag. Then place the bag submerged into the bowl of warm water. Wait for 10 minutes.

  Step 3:

Once soaked for ten minutes, use a paper towel or cotton ball to wipe off any excess Revel Nail Dip Powder. If the powder isn’t completely soaked off, place your hand back into the back for another 5 minutes. Once all Revel Nail Dip Powder is removed, you are ready to complete the next hand!

 The Soaking Bowl Method:

The products we used are 100% acetone, cotton balls, the Revel Nail Nail Spa, 180 Grit Nail File, and the 150 Grit Nail File.

   Step 1:

With the Revel Nail 150 Grit File, buff off the shiny topcoat from your manicure.

   Step 2:

Remove the bottom of your Revel Nail Nail Spa and fill the base with warm water then re-attach the top level of the Nail Spa to the base.

   Step 3:

Place a cotton ball with an ample of 100% acetone in each of the five indents then place each finger in an indent and wait 7-10 minutes.

   Step 4:

Gently rub nails with the soaked cotton balls and wipe off the remaining dip powder. If your dip powder is not fully removed, place fingers back into the indents for a few more minutes.
